Members,

Not sure if you are interested, but WOOD Magazine is celebrating Oktoberfest with an exclusive offer that features a limited edition Festool beer stein, and a FREE ($8.95 value) trio of bookcases downloadable plan.  The steins are made in Germany, and feature an image of the original Festo saw on one side and a TS saw on the other side.  There were only a total of 2000 numbered steins produced (1000 lidded, and 1000 unlidded).   This offer is only available in the October issue, which will be on news stands shortly.  However, subscription based magazine holders should be receiving theirs this week.  Due to shipping and customs...they are only being shipped in the continental U.S.

Given that WOOD circulation is 535,000, I wanted to give the members a heads up.

Regards,
Martin

Martin,

Do you have a larger copy of the image you posted on this thread for the beer stein?

I couldn't find it on WOOD's website or any other website.

Just ordered mine.  Looks like a nice mug.  A good mug to have in the shop as it has a lid and can keep the dust out!

Thanks for letting us know about this martin.

Since I cannot get to the Festool USA site from here at work, I sent an email to JR, my Avatar image, to place an order for me before they're all gone.

I guess this is how I'll assuage my feelings of not getting into the Festool End User Training class.  :'(

You didn't get in?  The whole point of this class is to get feedback on the training classes so they can make it be the best training for future classes and students.

I know Festool had specific criteria for selecting candidates for this first class and I just did not fall within the parameters for the number of slots available.  Somes gotta lose so that others may win.  Nothing more, nothing less.  :'(

About the only thing I can say for certain is the criteria did not include the number of Festools.   :o

I didn't get in either.  I must have too many festools for too long to be trainable.  ;D.  Hope everyone has a good time at the training.  It's not a good time for me to travel anyway.

Will the Stein hold coffee and keep it hot?

That's IT!  You can't teach an old dog new tricks.  Now I understand...  :o

I think they did a secret IQ test and that is why I wasn't chosen!!  :'( - or maybe too many tools already and they figured out they can't sell me very many more. Would have liked to play with the Kapex.

Got a mug ordered - bet these don't last long at all - without a lid. Didn't think about shop usage for a dust lid. Oh well, beer tastes better in front of the television  :D

Gary,

Nice to see that Festool finally came out with something I can still afford.  The last thing were those recycled, green Q-Tips.

;)
