I just got a flyer from Woodcraft announcing their anniversary sale on 25 and 26 July.  The flyer states "save 25% All Tanos storage containers and accessories".  The fine print says "participating stores only" and "limited supply"

I believe from the description both of those will fit either a sys 1 or a sys 2 tloc and they are the same handle, only different colors.

118 is in light grey and 119 is in the dark grey anthracite

I just took a look online and saw some of the new items that our European friends have mentioned over the past months. A single layer drawer tainer and the front strap attachment among others.

I went into one of the Woodcrafts in my area and all they had was the mini systainers and only two at that.  [huh]

With the free shipping and no sales tax pricing online prices are pretty competitive with Woodcraft's sale.

Indeed. I bought a couple minis online, but with shipping and tax I didn't come out much further ahead than ordering from others. In fact I was going to buy more but after doing the math it just wasn't worth messing up the color scheme! ;)

I stopped by the Woodcraft in Delaware on Saturday.  They were mobbed on Friday and almost everything was sold, so the pickin's were slim.  However, they offered to order some pieces as long as what I wanted was available in the warehouse.  Who's warehouse, I am not certain.  Ordered a MIDI, MAXI, 6-drawer Sort.

Haha... I thought that I was the only one crazy enough to come to that conclusion. I had a cart full of systainers but abandoned when I did the math. Would rather just pay a small green premium!

I think the 25% off was a planned item to bring people in. I went into the local Woodcraft store in Delaware and they had maybe four Tanos t-locs in stock that were on sale. A couple of those were the mini. I wonder if any store had many of these even though Woodcraft advertised it well in advance. Buying in the store would have saved shipping costs plus there is no sales tax in Delaware. Go figure.

I ordered several items online.  I'm going to use the "black ones" for non-Festool items and the Festool branded ones for Festool items.

Nope, you're not the only one. I also did the math and passed on the 'sale'.

And no matter how hard I try, I just can't like those dark Systainers. I much prefer light gray (either Festool or Tanos branded) to anthracite. My bride, however, really likes the anthracite and that's what she'll be using in her craft room.

Fair enough - I won't get my stuff mixed up with hers then.

For the few items I got I still saved money even after tax and shipping, about 12%.

I haven't found any sites that offer systainers at a discount.  If you guys know of a place then please share it.  I want to buy a bunch of these for my van so that I can both easily move my tools as well as reducing the weight in my van by being able to remove some of the heavy metal shelving that's in it.
