Went up to Yorktown Heights yesterday for WoodFest at Tool Nut.
Meet Dave Reinhold and Ken Nagrod who are great people, Sean at the Nut was busy as can be, Peter at the Nut introduced meet to Sean's father Bob, another nice guy who had a big smile on his face for the turnout, although the snow came down  ( 3 Inches when I left ) The people kept coming.
I meet many tool reps, including the Festool rep and before I left I bought a new C-15 Drill Set. Much to the consternation of Dave, who was pushing me in the T-18 direction ( sorry Dave ).
This was a nice event, I enjoyed the company of all I spoke with it was really nice to meet fellow Fog members and share thought and idea's

Sal

Hey Sal!  It was great meeting you and Sean Ackerman, his father Bob, Dave the store's general manager and the others.  I was attempting to post a whole bunch of photos of the event, but I'm in a fist fight with Picasa/Google.  We'll see who wins.  So far they're in the lead.  Too many pictures to post on the FOG directly so I was trying to save some server space here by linking it to something like Picasa.

I had a great time, despite the snow.  Sal I can't believe that you decided on the C-drill, I thought I had you convinced on the T-drill.  Don't worry Sal you get 30 days to make up your mind  [poke] .  I hope you win round 2 Ken, I would love to see how the pictures turned out..

Dave

Finally!  Pictures from Woodfest 2011 at The Tool Nut.  Other than the snow storm, things went well.  Just want to point out several pictures first, then go to the Picasa link below to see the rest of the show pictures.

Sorry I didn't get pictures of Sal's pink Blaklader pants and I had asked Sean to get in a picture with Dave at the beginning of the show, but he was too busy and I forgot to ask again.

See, Dave wore socks and shoes!

Really?  Have you ever seen Pozidrive #4 screw heads?  Where?

The parking lot just outside the tent.

The roof of the tent.  It was funny watching piles of snow fall off on people's heads as they walked from the tent into the store (nobody was hurt, well except their pride).  At one point there was a concern that the tent would collapse under the weight, so they started knocking off the snow they could reach.

A couple of pictures on Rt.6 after just leaving The Tool Nut.  It looked like approximately 4 inches of snow so far and vehicles were stuck, skidding, blocking lanes of traffic.  The hills on Rt.6 were causing problems for vehicles.  Some accidents too.  Dave just put the truck in 4 wheel drive and maneuvered around people.

Picture while driving on the Taconic Parkway back home.  Lots of problems and slow going on here.  Trees down, people stuck, cars with no traction skidding all over - a mess!  I couldn't believe New Yorkers aren't used to this upstate.

Pictures from the show inside the store and outside underneath the tent.

Ken, what are you talking about, I made it in that last picture with Dave ;)

What a mess it's been since we closed early that day.  Trees, powerlines, no power, no internet, no cell service, no land lines, nada.  Emails galore to respond to.  Generators galore to try and get for what seems like the entire tri-state area.

Thanks so much for making it guys, especially in that weather.  Meant a lot!

Oh the blasphemy! We want the jacket back. I'm issuing a call tag.  [poke]

* Waiting to hear him talk himself out of this one... *

Sean,

Funny how that picture makes you look shorter than in real life. [poke]

Looks like it was a lot of work and fun.  Sorry about the weather.

Peter

Shane, I was just trying to get the inside scope on the new tools  [unsure].

Wow Sean. It was an interesting drive home, I can't believe how much snow was coming down. It was a good time I can't wait for my next visit.

Dave

I am so totally drooling.  Sean, how about opening a store in New Mexico?  The snow melts by noon the next day.....

Yes, shorter.  But you know what, I'll take the height penalty for the damn good looks.  The ears, the skin color, ohhh the wisdom too!

And if you continue to give service to members here - "May the FOG be with you!"

Sorry,  couldn't resist.

Ok, so now that we DO have a picture of Sean with Dave, how about Sal taking a picture of his pink pants for this thread?  [poke] [popcorn]

Ok  Here is the Pink Blaklader Bantam Pants. Ken and Dave made fun of them sand me alll day at Woodfest...Hell even the rep from Blaklader giggled, So maybe I deserved it after all for wearing them...

Sal

Sal,

Was that your front yard setup for Halloween.  That only scared the Carhartt guy away.  [big grin]

By the way, if you recall, I did not bust on your pants or try and convince you to buy the T18.  Dave did that enough for the both of us.  [big grin]

Now you need bright green ones for the golf course!
