I’ve been storing some old machines at a place in Jersey City and now I want to clear them out.
This Woodmaster model M612 (capacity 6” x 12”) has been in existence for around 40 years but it has only been used for 20 to 30 hours. I certainly didn’t get my money’s worth from this purchase but at the time it was the only way I could get a planer in my own shop. Woodmaster allowed me to buy over time and the lunchbox planers didn’t exist yet so it was the best I could do.
Included but not pictured is an extra head that can hold molding knives and/or ripping blades. I didn’t buy any of those so they’re not included but might be found elsewhere.
Woodmaster made this model for some years and then sold “it” to RBI who made and sold an identical version for some more years. It’s a very simple design that uses standard off-the-shelf parts for anything that might wear out.
If you don’t want the planer you might want the motor, a monster USA made farm duty Dayton 5 HP induction motor, totally enclosed, pulling 22 amps at 230 volts.
Needs to go so make an offer that primarily includes coming to Jersey City to pick it up.
