My 1281 square failed the double line test

In the process of moving my shops around it fell off the wall, it got a little dent and I check for square, it’s off.

Is the tool compromised? Can it be adjusted back to square?

Hard to say without seeing it. They will likely have you send it in and they will try adjusting it. All depends upon how far out of whack it is. Well worth the 5-10$ postage to send it in I believe.

Had a problem with my PRL-V2 router lift and sent it in a couple weeks ago. They repaired and cleaned it for free. Cost me $16 at UPS.
Wish you good luck!

Thank you Peter!  No real damage besides a dent or 2 in the corner. I’m inclined to believe that dents and nicks will happen over time and are no more than a sign the tool is well used. I could be wrong but it’s hard to imagine people keep these for years without a single scratch.

Edges are still straight, it’s just slightly out of square. I did some digging it seems like they can and do adjust tools that are ‘off’

Just contact them, they’ll set you straight. Great customer service.

I had some issues with their 6SS Carpenters Square and they were taken care of posthaste.
