Hi - I am looking for a way to quickly and repetitively mark out mortises and tenons as well as other layout marks for furniture building.

I was thinking about getting the woodpecker rule stop and ruler to do this. That way I can mark using the end of the rule for a depth stop marking and the sides of the ruler as well. Right now I use a combo square to do the majority of my layouts.

Anyone have any experience with these or any suggestions for the best tool for the job?

I use their Paolini stainless 6" ruler.  It's one of my favorite tools.  Great for marking mortises or setback gaps for many woodworking tasks.  ideal for setting the guide rail a consistent distance from the edge of a piece of wood as well.

It's a one-time tool, but suggest you call Woodpeckers as they often have some available.

If you can find them (they were a Woodpecker OTT), their T- squares would be ideal.

I have the TS-3 and TS-6 and find that I use these constantly, especially when marking lines for Dominoes. I also find I make use of the holes quite often to scribe layout lines.

Ive been using this for such things I got the 6" one
