I have listed the 7 piece Carpenters set in classifieds and have two sets available if anybody is interested ??

My math says that they are 2.38mm, or closer to 2.4 than 2.3. So my question is "Does that matter?" You guys who want a bit smaller than 2.5mm, what are you using it for?

I'll be using mine for piloting 3.5mm screws (no.6 imperial in the UK) in hardwoods. 3mm is too big for that, but this should be about right.

Thanks for explaining that. I wasn't sure what an extra .12mm would get you, but that's apparently enough to give the screw thread something to grab onto.

You must have to be VERY steady when you're drilling to avoid enlarging the hole, huh?
