I just shared a few emails with Richard Hummel, Owner of Woodpeckers,  one of the things that came from the emails is he let me know  that they are planning another run of their 26x16 Precision Square     NICE!!    Ive been waiting patiently for that!!   he hopes to announce it by the end of the month.

Another thing he did mention, unofficially, is there is a possibility that they will remake the Bevel Gauge and Angle Refrence Plate  another super sweet tool that i have been drooling over!   He thinks this will be closer to the end of the year..

Anyone who wants the bevel gauge and angle plate, i would say that it wouldn't hurt to submit a one time tool request on their site, or send them an email requesting it.  that way we make sure they will run it.

Fritter63, this must be terrible news for you, good thing i didn't mail out the $1,000,000 check yet  [laughing] [laughing] [laughing]

You won't be able to order until they announce it later in the month (or later in the year for the bevel gauge and reference plate).

I do wish they would create bevel gauges with a scissor mechanism that could bisect angles like festools angle transfer tool (included with the kapex).

OK that was the old run.

I was going to order the large triangle but think this fits my needs better.  Besides the 45 can anyone think of the pro's of having a triangle square over this?

I would rather have this as well.  I did pre-order the triangle already.  So, I'll probably wind up with both.

I have the 26" square along with the 12" 1281. I'm not sure I've ever wished for the triangle one instead. I mostly see limitations in the triangle for 90 degree use as you can only use it inside your work.

I would probably step up for the 18" square if they make that along with the 26". The 26" is pretty large when you don't actually need a big one.

I assume the triangle would be more difficult to damage than a square so I can see where they both have their place.

I have the 1281 now but would like a longer one for the MFT. I think... I use the precision dogs most the time anyway.

I would like both but thats 2 months pay for me.  [mad]

that would be sweet!

obviously you could use the triangle to layout your guide rail at 45*

i believe that the foot on the triangle will fit in the t slot of the mft fence, you could use it that way to align the guide rail 90* to the fence

foot on the triangle is removable so it can lay flat for layout or tool setup

thats the positives i can think of for the triangle

the square obviously has a lot of strong suits
