Woodpecker’s Route-N-Plane surfacer

Launched today! I'm pretty stoked. The design grew out of a shop-made jig I built to demonstrate one of our replaceable insert spoilboard bits that launched a couple months ago.

[member=7266]jeffinsgf[/member] you got a sale from me on it.  Seemed to solve a sweetspot of a problem.

looks interesting.  Any ideas on how to make it do a juice groove? :)

Use an MFS template.  Oh!  You didn't get one before they were discontinued?  So sorry!  [big grin]

Not to worry...we make something very, very similar.https://www.woodpeck.com/woodpeckers-variable-router-jig.html

That said, the last one I cut, I measured the offset from the center of my bit to the edge of the base on my palm router, cut a piece of 1/4" plywood the size of the juice groove minus the offset and double-face taped it down. Probably would have been tippy with a full size router, but with a palm router it worked great. We have a 1/2" diameter, 3/16" radius 3-flute bowl bit that makes a very nice juice groove.
