Woodpeckers Rule Delay

I think that's a great idea on WoodPeckers part. Keeping people up to date on their purchases and even showing what goes into the design and machining of all their tools.
Good job WP!

Amen...good post  [thumbs up], that's the hook in their marketing program, and that's exactly what [member=8712]Richard/RMW[/member] was talking about. On top of that, there are a bunch of tech saavy people on this forum that enjoy reviewing the manufacturing processes/issues, myself included.
And then there's the keeping customers informed prospect...that's another issue. They have significantly enhanced their communications role in the last 6 months.
Give credit where credit is due...

It's a huge step forward and seeing how things get done is very interesting.  I really like the videos they've been producing.  Now they have to start getting things out on time.

I'm sorry that some people will just put up with whenever they get around to fulfilling orders.  Some want to compare it to Christmas?  Really???  Pay for something and forget about it until it finally shows up?  If I pay for something I expect it to be delivered on time.  That's what my customers expect!

I was taught that if you say you're going to do something then you do whatever it takes to do it.  If I tell someone that I'm going to do something by a certain time then I do whatever it takes to get it done when I say it will be done.  I admit that there are times when I can't make the time but that's the exception, not the rule.  When was the last time they made a time they projected?  It's been years.

I do love their products.  I've got a bunch of them and they are the highest quality.  The OTT and how it's handled is the only complaint I have with them.  After this last experience I will never buy another OTT.

Gotta say I agree with you there. I wont buy any of their OTT products as I dont support that business model. If people would buy items like that they wouldnt sell them like that and theyd sell products they have actually made and are ready to ship. People voting with their wallets is why companies do stuff like this. There is nothing wrong with them making/manufacturing products before hand and then marketing them, building them up and then selling them as normal. Its a practice that has been used for centuries by thousands of other companies, why should they be any different?!

Just received my Woodpecker Corner Radius Jig OTT set from Tool Nut this morning. Guess i dont mind the wait---

I received the 1281 framing square today and tested it out some different boards and especially my Hammer Crosscut fence.  It's good to know now if something is dead on square or not.  I had a long conversation yesterday with one of the Felder tech's and he said it's a good idea to check the squareness of the crosscut fence on a regular basis as the design of the fence leaves a bit to chance.  It doesn't take a lot to accidentally bump it out of square.
