I think that's a great idea on WoodPeckers part. Keeping people up to date on their purchases and even showing what goes into the design and machining of all their tools.
Good job WP!
Amen...good post [thumbs up], that's the hook in their marketing program, and that's exactly what [member=8712]Richard/RMW[/member] was talking about. On top of that, there are a bunch of tech saavy people on this forum that enjoy reviewing the manufacturing processes/issues, myself included.
And then there's the keeping customers informed prospect...that's another issue. They have significantly enhanced their communications role in the last 6 months.
Give credit where credit is due...
It's a huge step forward and seeing how things get done is very interesting. I really like the videos they've been producing. Now they have to start getting things out on time.
I'm sorry that some people will just put up with whenever they get around to fulfilling orders. Some want to compare it to Christmas? Really??? Pay for something and forget about it until it finally shows up? If I pay for something I expect it to be delivered on time. That's what my customers expect!
I was taught that if you say you're going to do something then you do whatever it takes to do it. If I tell someone that I'm going to do something by a certain time then I do whatever it takes to get it done when I say it will be done. I admit that there are times when I can't make the time but that's the exception, not the rule. When was the last time they made a time they projected? It's been years.
I do love their products. I've got a bunch of them and they are the highest quality. The OTT and how it's handled is the only complaint I have with them. After this last experience I will never buy another OTT.
