Just a friendly reminder, in case it has not already been mentioned, that the Woodworking Show, held yearly in Somerset, NJ, is next month. The show will be open Friday, February 21st through Sunday February 23rd.

This is a great way to meet other forum members, share stories, introduce yourself, etc…, so many forum members plan to meet, greet and shop the show.

Good luck, have fun, and maybe we’ll see you there.

Will be there looking forward to saying hello

I am planning to be there. Will be great to catch up. Of course it always ends up being an expensive trip :)

Enjoy the show everyone.

I hope that in your Somerset you are able to get some nice cider! Here in the UK Somerset cider is used as a medicine to help prevent sobriety - it is also a great pain reliever.

Thanks for the reminder. This year the boss is down in Florida so I won't even have to try to sneak anything back into the house...

Saturday or Sunday?

Good reminder about this show. Thanks.

Sal,  will you be working a booth, or just hanging out?

Bob

Bob.  It appears probably hanging out, there was some confusion this year, going to try for all three days

Buyers Beware:  At the show, be careful when special ordering from Carter Products/ Peachtree/ Stony Creek woodworking.  I got stung with hefty return shipping and restocking fee when I special ordered some Carter bandsaw blades.  When I called for return instructions, the owner of Stony Creek, who handles the ordering for Carter, basically called me a liar when I had the temerity to mention the man in the booth advised me to buy the wrong sized blades.  Very disappointing.  There, I vented.

I will attending all three days, not sure what dealer is representing Festool. Hope to meet FOG people during the three days

Sal

I am planning to be there on Saturday morning. Hope to meet u and other FOGGERs.

Is it safe to assume that I will be able to test drive most of the popular festool products this weekend?  I know there was a decent showing from festool last year.  Just want to make sure I won't be disappointed this year.

I will be at somerset on Saturday and possibly Sunday. I think tools for working wood is running the Festool booth this year. I'm unsure of what to expect in regards of tools, last year myself and another forum member supplied most of the tools being demoed and our pal Sal helped out too. This year I will be at somerset as a spectator only if you see me say hi.

Had a nice time at the show. Ran into Sal and chatted some.

Talked with reps from Woodpeckers, Lee Valley & SawStop among others. Thinking LV will be getting too much of my $ next time they have free shipping.

Was at the show today also.Got there about 12:45 and had to park about 1 mile away. Luckily someone new a short cut through the Double Treat building. Tormeck and Shelter were not there. Lumber was VERY pricy. Plenty of sign up shows. Peach Tree was probably the biggest displayed. The Imperial blade guy never heard of the FOG.Also there were leaks in the roof. MARK
