Over the last few years, I’ve been gifted;

A set of six Kirschen chisels
A set of three Japanese pull saws
A Lie-Nielsen block plane
A Festool Sys4/TL3 Sortainer
As above, but the Tanos version in anthracite
A Joseph Marples 12” try square
A fire extinguisher and first aid kit for the van (maybe she was trying to tell me something) [big grin]

She’s a keeper for sure. How about you guys?
 
No tools, she leaves those to me but last year we moved from a two story to a slightly smaller ranch.  In the process the basement doubled in area and my shop space expanded from 600ft^2 (56m^2) to 1500ft^2 (139m^2)!  Our 44th anniversary is next month so I already knew she is a keeper.
 
Congratulations Kevin, my wifey and I just celebrated our 41 on the 27th.  41 years, two grown daughters and 18 years coaching competitive girls soccer and 18 seasons USSF reffing.  I am indestructible... except for the hip replacement, no ACL, not much miscus, both Achilles torn-twice, arthritis in thumb joints and arthroscopic  on shoulders.
 
I bought my wide a North Face down bag for one of our first Christmas's, she got me Makita's 1/2" plunge router and a pair of 12" deep throat clamps.  Another year she bought me a PM 100 planer.  Yep...she's the best.
 
When we were in high-school she gave me A Black & Decker Jigsaw and Circular saw for Christmas. Later a craftsman block plane, a DeWalt DW733 planer and some other stuff.

On July 1st 2008 I was at 7 Corners Hardware in Saint Paul with my brother in law ogling the Kapex. A couple of days later she said she was going shopping and needed the truck. When she got home she told me she needed help unloading a couple of things and in the back of the truck was a shiny new Kapex and a CT33. That reconfirmed I married way out of my league.
 
First, she IS the gift.  Second, she wouldn't have a clue what to give me.  Third, if she was to give me a tool as a gift, it would likely be some random low-quality, low-value tool [unsure].  I guess it would be the thought that counts.  I'm better off making my own purchases [smile].

Pretty nice!  If she was posting here, what would she brag about that you got her over the same time period (besides unconditional love of course)?
 
My wife thinks she is clueless when it comes to buying me tools as presents, I am not so sure.

She just buys the most expensive but then I get put to work so she gets the return on investment.

I wouldn’t call it bragging [member=69275]Adamsse[/member] - just publicly expressing my appreciation at how lucky I feel. But I know what you mean. Both of us have independently figured that gift ideas are best obtained late at night by subtly looking over each other’s shoulders at the websites each of us is always drooling over [big grin] She’s an avid reader and always buys her (often quite eclectic and unusual) books from the same website. I’d watch her going through this site, always adding stuff to the site’s ‘wish list’. So one Christmas, I visited the site in the hope that she was still logged in. She was. There were around 40 books on that list - so her gift that year was a large box containing all of them.
