I have the 5000 watt unit and it is EXCELLENT! [thumbs up]

It's heavy, but it does the job very well! Much better than a lot of the cheapo transformers on the market.

It will allow for virtually any plug type to be used. UK, Euro, U.S., etc....

Be aware though that they only covert VOLTAGE....not cycles. So power is delivered at 60Hz.

Cheers,

Frank

While we're on this subject, if a transformer is in your future.

Overstock.com and Woot.com both run these Pyle specials regularly.  The 5000 runs virtually any European corded Festool I have including my VAC-SYS and Germany bought Conturo.

In my earlier post, I stated that it only delivers 60Hz. That apparently is NOT true. It will produce whatever is coming out of either your 110V or 220V outlet. Input power is switched. Either 110 or 220, then the front outlets will produce both as you can see in the picture below. Excellent Step-Up/Step-Down transformers, and worth every penny!

Here's my regular setup for my VAC-SYS pump....

With the Conturo coming to the USA shortly, I hope the VAC-SYS will soon follow. If it does not, and will remain NAINA, I can assure you that if you can find a way to get one and ship to the US or Canada, it will work flawlessly on the transformer, as will any of Festool's NAINA corded tools.

Cheers,

Frank
