I am so lucky.  Toolnut happens to have  a sale that any Domino shipped between May 1 and June 30th is 10% Off.
I got the 500DF Q Set and the assortment of dominos and cutters.  (Also on sale)

Plus... No CA sales tax...  Plus Free Shipping.

Total savings, not including shipping  $220.

With those kind of savings you should also pick up the DF700 set and assortment of dominos and cutters, how often do you see Festool SALES?

The 700 is not feasible, I need an LR32 too.  I'm a hobbyist so the 500 is enough for me.
I am thinking of selling my TS55 and getting the new TS55 REQ.  But those aren't on sale.

I will get a Seneca sole plate for building boxes.

I corrected my post.  The sale is May 1st through June 30th.  While supplies last, but plenty of time.

Yeah, I'm going back into the 'deep end' and buy 1 more item for my new DF700 . I passed on the 8/10mm Tenon assortment back in March when I bought the big Domino before the April 1st price increase. Now after looking it over, I'll get that last bit of kit anyway...  [embarassed]
at least this time I save some money with it being on sale later next week.

Leakyproof,

You can order now and get the savings. I ordered a 500 and assortment systainer a few days ago and it arrives tomorrow all with the 10% off.
It's already on hold for me.  No rush, what's 1 MORE systainer to add to my collection..... [censored]
This next one brings me up to 50........ [doh]

50!! That's awesome. Glad you guys are as excited about the Domino Promo as the dealers are!

* All participating Festool dealers.  [wink]

Most of the time I'm not too bright.....  After posting then reading another thread I figured out it was a Festool promotion, not a Toolnut promotion.
All the better for everyone !!!  Come On Man!  What are you waiting for?  Order your 500's and 700's  !!!

On another note.
I just picked up a TS 55REQ today.  In a dealer store..... paid tax and everything.  [eek]  Now I need to figure out what's different from my ATF55 E
Oh.... Then there's the LR32 and rail....

Now to figure out how to tell the boss...  [blink]  Ah ya?

Ok.

I believe I bought a couple from ToolFest.co.uk    http://www.toolfest.co.uk/festool-fanshop

Warren is a member of the FOG.  You may want to send him a PM and see if he has them available and what shipping would be.    I bought 4 or 5 of them…..just in case I broke one…
which I did about 2 weeks after I received them.

Thanks Eric,

Looks like there aren't any more folding rules.
And.... where do I get one of these nifty levels???

How about this…..

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Festool-Folding-rule/dp/B0058HUKXM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398461897&sr=8-1&keywords=festool

Now for the Festool level….good luck finding one.  I think Stabila makes the Festool level.  I know Tom Bellemare sells Stabila products, so maybe shoot him a message to see if he has

anything similar to the Festool version.  Last time I seen a Festool Stabila level for sale it was around $150 for a 4 foot level……maybe because it had the Festool logo on it….seems a bit

pricey for a level.  GOOD LUCK!

Eric

The Festool level was indeed a Stabila level that was a modified Type 196 frame. The most notable mod's that I remember were the continuous frame across the vial on the long edge and the graduations that started in the center for centering things. It's been a long time since I had any so there may have been something else but I don't recall...

The latest and greatest Stabila spirit levels are the R-Beams. They have 3 continuous edges that are good for marking, etc., and are more than twice as strong as the Type 196 frames (120% stronger). The 196 frames were already really strong. They also have a very ergonomic grip, can be used as a screed, and are easy to clean.

When they first came out, I thought the R-Beam was a bit of overkill. Now that I've used one for a while, I like it. I'm getting the same sort of feedback from customers also.

Shortly after I first saw the Festool levels, Stabila came out with the Measuring Sticks. They used the Festool enhancements on a smaller frame, the Type 80A-2 frame.

Tom

EDIT:
Oh, wait a minute... Weren't the Festool versions, "The Light" levels also?

Yeah sorry! Should I post a pic of the folding rule as well....?  :o

No….I have 4 or 5 of them….so I know what they look like.    [tongue]

The original Festool rule was a Stabila model that is not even available as Stabila brand here in the US.  I have one (non-Festool) that I got as part of a discontinued Johnson rotating laser level set that was discontinued at Home Depot at the steep price of $29 5 years ago.

I tried to contact them about doing a FOG logoed version but the communications didn't pan out even though I had a high level contact.  Oh well.

So in other words, the current Festool stick rule NAINA is not the same as the one that was a special item here.
