Hi Ron!
I have just what you need. I sent an e-mail but I can't be sure it went out. Some problems with my cable modem.
Anyhow, I have a TDK 12 with 2 of the 2.4 NiCad batteries, charger three jaw chuck, centrotec chuck all in a Sys 1.
I bought the drill on 9/20/07 and have about 2 hours use on it. My hands just give out too quickly. It has the BH 60 CE magnetic bit holder with a #2 phillips tip and the 4mm brad point drill bit. It's in like new condition and I am asking exactly what I paid for it $295 plus UPS shipping.
I also have the special set of bits and drills they call the 'Centrotec Set' #493633. I also bought it at the same time as the drill.
I think I used one of the drills once and mabey one of the torx drivers. It is also like new and for sale at the price I paid $380 plus UPS shipping.
Both items were bought at Woodcraft.
My wife is trying to get our camera working and I should have photos soon.
Let me know if you are interested as I would like to sell both together.
Thanks,
Dave

WOOWWWWWW :D :D :D :D.

I know Festool holds it's value pretty well, but full retail plus shipping for a drill that's not only 2 years old but 2 models prior would have to be a new record.

Hey, I have a leigh dovetail jig and had been wanting the isoloc template for it and one came up on ebay.  It only went for $30.00 less that retail + shipping.  I've bid on numerous Festools on Ebay only to see them go for close to retail and with shipping go for more than retail.  Does make me feel good about buying festool (not trying to buy used).

I can see the Isoloc going for fairly close to retail. Warranty isn't an issue, very rarely listed by itself and leigh sets the retail price of their product and doesn't allow discounting. Paying more than 80% of retail (including shipping since any dealer offers free shipping) for a Festool that's burned through more than a year of its warranty isn't very bright.

Do I see people every day doing things that aren't very bright? Of course  :D.

The flip side of this is folks hoping for like new Festools at 50 to 60% of retail. Happens once in a great while and you just need to be hanging out on Ebay, CL and the classifieds looking for that listing, which will usually last about 15 minutes. Very unlikely to happen on this forum.  I see stuff list on Ebay fairly often with a Buy it Now in the 70 to 75% range. Rather than jump on it, someone will place a low ball bid, only to see the final selling price wind up higher than the Buy it Now. I think the ATF55 saw that was listed on this forum is already above the Ebay Buy it Now price and it still has 5 days to go.

It's just like buying a house or a car when the market conditions are more normal than today. You need to know what you're looking for, know what you're willing to pay, look diligently, be patient and pull the trigger instantly when you see it.

Not trying to lecture, just observing.

I've given up on ebay festool.  I work in Del now and close to a wood craft.  I can go out at lunch and pick up what I want and take it home no sales tax.  I still peek every now and then on ebay.  Now the portercable stuff I'm getting rid of and replacing with festool is another story.  I doubt if I'll get fifty cents on the dollar when I sell.  I know when I got the domino and sold the pc plate jointer that was the case.  Nice to know If I need to let one of my festools go, I'll get something back.

David,

Thanks for offering your Festool Drill but at new price I WOULD HAVE NO INTEREST.  I have a current offer for $200.00 for the same drill or 68% of new.  I have a RO 150 new in the box being offered to me at $375.00 or 76% of new.

Please e-mail me direct if you are interested in $200.00 if not I wish you the very best on your sale.

Thanks
