I love the idea of the MFT, however I don't need the portability, and I wanted one that was bigger and more sturdy, so I built my own. I used the rails and top from the MFT/3 then built a nice sturdy base out of 4x4s. Its the same width as the MFT/3, but about 50% longer which fits in my shop perfectly. I also added some drawer trays to the underside for my systainers (although I still need to make some more). The last thing I did was to mount my lunchbox planer on the other on a slider system, so that I can quickly and easily flip that up into place when I want to use it. Here are some pictures, and a quick overview video. I did film when I was making it, so if anyone wants to see it I'll put that up too.
