Hello,
How does one find the year that a tool was manufactured? I bought a used kapex KS120EB a while ago and was curious just how old it is. Is there a serial no. lookup somewhere?

Thank you

On the tool, near the serial number and tool number, there's a year and month of manufacture.  Almost always in the form of YYYY/MM.  Older tools were only YY/MM.

I'd post a picture, but I don't have one handy right now.

Hi welcome to the fog,pic posted for a kapex  lower left down by the square symbol .guy[attachimg=1]

Great. Mine has an 06/15 above the serial no. So it looks like it’s 6 yrs old. Thank you for the quick responses! Cheers.

Hi Ted,

Can’t help you with your question- but one of the most enormous advantages of a US-based website is that the inbuilt profanity filter doesn’t recognise the word ‘feck’. Please pass on my warmest regards to Dougal, Father Jack and Mrs. Doyle.

And yes - I realise that no-one in anywhere other than the UK will have the faintest clue what this post means  ;) ;)
