First purchase was a Rotex 150 and a CT26. I was pretty impressed with it, but today I got into some major exterior home trim repair and all I can say is holy crap! I feel like I doubled my productivity. I can't believe I hesitated to make the purchase.

I love this thing.

Welcome to the FOG!  Just remember to hang on!

RO90 was first because I hate sanding. Or I used to hate sanding I should say. Now I look for things to sand!

Have since added a TS55REQ, MIDI, and a Trion jigsaw, but the sander is still my favourite.

I was lucky enough to be given a CT11, an OF 2000 E, and a Rotex 150 along with 400 discs of varying grit.
Oh, and a BS75 in the biggest Systainer I have ever seen.....!!!!!!

First purchases were a 27mm replacement hose, Hose Garage and new bags for the CT, Cleaning Set, 2 new pads for the Rotex and new Base Pad for the OF 2000. Followed very shortly afterwards by a TS 75 + Various Blades, FS 1400 + Joining Bars + Storage Bag, Gecko + Rail Adaptor, Rail Clamps, FS 3000...........TS 55EQ + Various Blades

...........it certainly is a slippery slope  [eek]

Next on the list is an MFT 3 (Ordered....!!!), an FS 1900 or FS2400....?????? Cant decide which..!!!!! An OF1400 and I dream about the Kapax but my DW 708 and stand still works fine ATM.

Tim.

It was early Dec and I had just sold some tractor Implements, told my wife I wanted to "look" at these tools at Woodcraft that seemed to have some promise.  Went in wanting a TS-55 and maybe a vac.  I left with the TS-55, CT36 vac, Domino, Domino assortment.  Then, for Christmas, my wife got me the OF 1400 and 70" guide rail.

Everything beyond the TS-55 was purchased at the urging of my wife.  She's a good girl!

Ct22, then Ets150/3. Still my favourite sander.

However my new Rotex150 is making a big impression.

55 plunge saw, mini extractor for me,never looked back, got the bug, same as most of yous, got rakes of it haha, would like to upgrade to the 2200 router from the 2000, a new track saw, quite like the maffell tho, still debating that one,not rushing in there, still more than happy with my 55,if it aint broke don't fix it,same with jigsaw and drills, all the rest as in my kapex ctl 26 table saw the 50 mm one, both planers,ro 150,little triangle sander,1010 router, old mft, domino and loads of other festool accessories,i can safely say i was bitten by the festooligan.

My first purchase was the TS 55REQ, CT 26E, and the MFT/3, clamping elements, two quik-lock clamps, and two traditional clamps....whatever all that cost?

There was a recent thread accusing Festool marketing for missing the mark, but I can tell you they hit a bullseye with the CTX.  I had never heaard of Festool before i found the CTX.  That was like candy from the drug dealer. I've since puchased a TS75, CT26, RO150, and TI15.  Of course now I'm eying the TS55, 1010, LR32. Domino 500 and the list goes on.

The forum is a great resource also.  Simple things go a long way too.  I was cutting rigid foam and remembered someone mentioned using the rail as a straight edge.  Perfect!    I guess there's still times when you might want to use the saw, but the straight edge works great on foam.

I've been lurking for a few weeks.  Made my first purchase today ... A set of clamps. Does this qualify as the cheapest initial purchase ever?  [smile]

Today was apparently the "official" date to sell the TS 55 REQ, but my local Woodcraft was out.  So I decided I might as well buy accessories while I await arrival of the track saw. I'll likely end up getting an MFT/3 as well.

Festool dust extractor will wait a bit.  I just got a Laguna 2HP dust collector in July, so I'll have to think up a really good excuse to use when my wife asks "So explain again why you bought another little shop vac?!"

Suggestions from all you big spenders are most welcome!

Lee
