1st Festool purchase was about 6 months or so ago a Domino DF500 with systainer of Dominos and all cutters.

First purchase was TS55 with CT48, 55" holy rail, and 108" rail.  As far as I am concerned, it paid for itself on the first 4x8 sheet I broke down.  Since have the MFT3, OF1400, RO125 and parallel guides.  Impressed with everything to date.  Bill

My first purchase was made earlier this week, bought the CT 36, TS 55REQ and OF1400. Went back out tonight and added the RTS 400 to the mix.

Went in to the local wood shop store here in Winston-salem nc looking for a belt sander. Since I am new the guy was real helpful and asked questions now I am the proud owner of a Festool Random Orbit Sander!

Received my first today TS 55 REQ, extra rail, ----now I'll take some time and design a breakdown cutting table to go with this[emoji362]Show me some of you Ideas & Pics !

20 and a bit years ago, left army trying to learn how to be a fitter while managing a bowling alley so worked cheap and plowed it all back into tools and knowledge. one of the other fitters had a cdd9.6 which I was fascinated with and even more the box it came with.

1st purchase from andy mason at baron bros in leeds

cdd12 with 2 batts and mcu15
ps2e
ehl65
sys1 with universal insert thing and flip up lid
sys1 with boxes
sys2 vari for existing drills
sys3 for tool bits

hand tools lived in a posso box.

nearly cried writing the chq and they all said I was mad. and I was, I added to it like crazy, cheaper tools mainly but good kit  like the massive ryobi router or atlas copco sds and slapped in a systainer right down to waxes, iron/tapes and a brew kit box. the only regret was that the worktop jig wouldn't fit.

but living in a first floor flat the ablity to stack it all neatly in the living room was a blessing [smile] I seeing as I still have everything bar a few batteries and a blown charger or two I cant complain about getting value out of it. just wish the locking latches were cheaper.

tightarse UK trades still gawk when the grey boxes start coming in an endless stream.

It's all in dollars and I'm too much of a Victorian imperialist to fart around with rebel colony exchange rates. At least it's not in bloody Euros.

My first purchase was probably worth a goat and fifty chickens, rounded up.

TS55 REQ first purchase, with a 1400 guiderail. £355, dunno what that is in dollars bit over $500?
Then another 1400 (LR32) rail for ripping fill sheets of ply.

Subcontractor here, doing work from shuttering formwork for concrete through first fix (rough carpentry) through to second fix (finish) and bar/shopfitting.

My first Festool purchase was an ETS 125 in 2007 for $165. Used it today to sand down plaster with some 40 grit paper attached. Current price is $195, so after 8 years the price has increased by $30. That's a 18% increase over 8 years. Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Yesterday I made my first Festool purchase. I had done a lot of research. Since I use a wheelchair (100% disabled veteran) I must be very selective in which tools I purchase; not everything is suitable for use from a seated position.

I what I got on my first Festool purchase was:
  • 1400 Router
  • TS55 Req
  • CXS Kit
  • CT 26
  • MFT/3

I don't know who was happier: The salesman or me. (Probably me since I didn't have to be at work!)

First let me introduce myself.

I am Gilbert from The Netherlands. (maybe my english is not so well ,but do my best!)
38 Years Young, working in the IT buisness, but really love making furniture of my own!

also i make my own flightcases (for transport of my drive in disco equipment)

Now finaly after many years of use of my fathers festool equipment.
I saved some money over the years,
And i was so SO finished!! with my hobbycrap Bosch , Black and Decker, and Ferm stuff!!!

so i went to the festool store and bought my first festool set..

- T18+3 set
- PS 420
- RO 90 DX
- CTL-SYS

I think this is the ultimate basic set to do the most jobs around the house.
For the more bigger/dificult pieces i still can use my fathers tools.. (CS70, Kapex 120, HL850, OF1010 etc.)

My first Festool purchase was a RS400 in 2006 or 2007. After that I bought a MIDI, a MFT/3 with a VL, a Domino 500 and a TS55 in September 2008. Since then a bunch more…

Hi ! I'm new here.

First buy is a TS55 REBQ-Plus-FS (not yet received, to date)
... I went straight to my second buy (MFT/3).

Welcome, [member=58095]Chrisprols[/member]! Adding the MFT/3 to your TS55 purchase was a good call. You'll be able to get the most out of your saw.

You'll have to let us know what you think after it arrives!

Hi [member=57769]TylerC[/member]!
My first feedback on the TS55R is pretty good. I most appreciated the quality of the cut and I was surprised how good is dust collection. It's a big improvement from my previous diy saw. I find it quite noisy but anyway I'm wearing ear protection.
MFT/3 table is very good. I thought it would be lighter but since I don't move it much, it's no problem to me. I will appreciate for sure the precision I'll get from the holes positions and be able to produce square cuts.

Thanks for your repply. It's nice to see the message I posted was not just dropped in space and that a moderator actually read/repplied to it.

Have a good day !
