My first purchase was the TS55 track saw with 1400mm rail and a CTL midi accompany it from N&B tools. They have worked great and i would highly recommend them.

Hello Everybody.

I submitted the price in AUD as its over $2K for the TS55 saw and rail, and the CT26. There was no discount for purchasing as a set in the land down under.

Next purchases are likely to be OF1400, PS420, and RO150. A DF500 might find its way into the collection in the future.

Regards
Graham

Hi,

  Welcome to the forum!  [smile]

Enjoy your new tools.

My first festo tools were a Ro 150 E and a OF900, I was doing my apprentership and helped out to do a shop fitting, the owner bought me these as a thank you for my help. This was in 1998 and I had used the rotex and router in one of the other workshops where I was doing job training. Just loved how good they were. Both are still running and used a lot. My next own buy about a year later was the cdd 12 v with all the chucks. I love being able to get into any corner. Had to replace the batteries a couple years ago but its still going strong. Since then its just about everything, except planer and 125 sanders.

Still look forward to the new releases like a kid at christmas.

New to the forum. Just bought a Domino XL with Domino's as my first Festool purchase. Just tried it today on some test pieces and I can't believe the dust collection! Are all Festool tools that good?

Kinda glad I missed the UK discount, or else I'd have bought the cms router table and 1400 router that I keep eyeing up, and there's no way I'd get that past the other half!!

Welcome to the forum!  Some Festool products are great at dust collection and the majority are good to excellent.  Much depends on the usage.  For instance the track saws cutting close to the edge of the board will not be as good as when cutting in the middle of a board.  I would venture a guess that most users are satisfied usually with the collection - especially if they ever have to do similar operations without an extractor later.

Started out 18 months ago at just over $1000 (at today's rates) - TS55, guide rail, CT26 for a bathroom re-modelling project.

Only 6 months before that I had never heard of a domino or Festool, but now I also have OF1400, Rotex 150, Carvex 420, MFT, CTL-SYS, CXS, Kapex 120 - and a DF500 on the way!  [eek]

Finally got me some Festool tools.  [big grin]

Picked up an RO90 and a CT26E on Saturday, also picked up a good selection of sanding pads and the abrasives systainer.

Ultimate destination for the tools is the shed, but for the time being they are being pressed in to service in the house for light duty sanding during redecorating.

Got $100 discount on the RO90 when bundling with the CT26, wasn't expecting that so was quite happy and the savings went back too Festool anyway as they were spent on the abrasives systainer.

DF500, Kapex 120 and OF1400 are on the wishlist for the future.

Cheers

First post and first Festool purchase occurred today. Ordered a Rotex RO 90, ETS 125, and a CT SYS. Soon to follow will be a TS 55 and an RO 150.

Hi guys,

I've joined the black and green club as of yesterday with this http://www.festool.com.au/epages/to...ooltechnic/Products/561555/SubProducts/270000

Purchase was made all the better as one of my customers from my main job got word of my previous career (shopfitting and cabinet making) and me wanting to get back into it. He offered me some work at his shop and offered a silly amount of cash plus the tools I needed to do the job with! Getting keen to have a play with it all in the shed tonight.

Bought a Festool CT Midi to go with an Oneida Ultimate Dust Deputy cyclone for dust collection/cleanup of my small CNC machines (Shapeoko 3 XL and Nomad 883 Pro --- ob. discl. I work for the company).

I've debated buying more, but a bit put off by the recent change in Systainer sizes (and bummed that Lee Valley seems to be discontinuing their toolsets in Systainers), so doing things on the cheap for the nonce by hacking a Husky Rolling Connect 22" cart to have removable "drawers" in the form of Harbor Freight and Husky storage units.

After using my teachers tools for a few years I bought 1st, 2nd and 3rd in one awesome hit.

CT Midi, DF500 and OF1400 in one go.

I knew exactly what I wanted - a happy day back in the shop!

My first Festool purchase was on 14th April, and consisted of the TS55 REBQ - Plus, a Festool carrying bag for the 1400mm guide rail, and a cable deflector for the rail. What about a guide rail for the track saw, you wonder 🤔. That was on the next order, 2 weeks later.

All these were being shipped from axminster in the UK to Botswana. For a total of around $600 + shipping and customs duties. And I won't get to see them til December when I get to go on leave. I'm in the US during the year.

My first purchase was the DOMINO DF 500 Q-Set Jointer & Assortment 1060 - PACKAGE DEAL for AU$1700.

Six or seven years ago I needed a brush attachment for my Fein Turbo. The only brush the board store had was the Festool  Universal Brush Nozzle (498527.) It was maybe another four years before I bought a Festool vacuum to go with it. As brush accessories go, it's very nicely made!
