Where  can I get a Phenolic or other Zero Clearance Insert for the Kapex KS-60? I see them available for the KS120, but not the KS60. I guess I can make my own, but can not find pieces of Phenolic or other similar material. I am getting ALOT of tearout on the underside of cuts.

I’m not sure I want something as flimsy as as a tape cover. Doesn’t anyone in Europe or other countries that use the KS-60 make a solid replacement type

They do, I think, but I've never bought either of the following:

Zero clearance fences for KS60

Zero clearance insert for KS60

They look very slick indeed but I have similar on my 120 so just use that when it counts. The yellow tape (I have the Fastcap branded ones on my KS60) is quite thick and does work very well - with the added bonus that you can bevel into it and not ruin a much pricier insert you've forgotten to remove  [big grin]

Its price is deceiving; it's cheap but it holds up well. After three years, I'm still on my second tape (three new ones left). It fits the 120 well. My shop can be extremely cold in winter (well under -10c).

Maybe a fellow FOG member living in Germany or the EU could act as an intermediary? I am in the Netherlands and could step in if no neighbour in Germany volunteers…

Thank you very much for the offer, but I will try and make one and see what happens.
BTW, miss Netherlands, its been over a year since we got back, and dont know when we can get back for Business or pleasure.

Go to the Lee Valley website for the United States instead of Canada.  I just checked and they are carry this product in US stores.  It was a little over $6
