I like the idea, but would this just be metric or would you also entertain imperial sizes in either a combo pack or two separate versions?

HECK YES!

Not many people have seen the Zorbo bits here except those who have gone to training.  They are lean mean wood eating machines!

Extremely unlikely to be offered in imperial. Hence the reason I listed the metric sizes.  [wink]

They do seem nice...although I personally don't use forstner bits often. I guess they would be nice for when I do need em!

YES!!!!  Hmm if Festool would only offer C15, Centotec set, and Zobo as a set this fall I would be all set…

Shane, does that extra bit in the case fit into the center of the bits?  Either way who cares.  Just get them here and I figure it out myself.

The Zobo bits can be used with a regular twist pilot bit or a metal point.  The twist pilot bit can be extended do the bits can be used on an angle.  I have a set of these and while I haven't used them much I can tell you they are first rate Forstner style bits.

Yes, I've seen an illustration somewhere that shows how it works. There is an optional pilot drill bit that goes in the center which can be used for going in at an angle for instance. The pilot bit provides a path and stability as the Forstner bit goes in. The pilot bit is replaceable.

Brice beat me to it...

Yes!
Is it possible to get 26mm instead of 25? (That's size of small european hinge)

I'm in! I use several of these sizes in the shop for hardware now. They would also be awesome to try on a handrail install with the pilot bit set up.

I have had  a set of these bits for 2 years they are great. I am a kitchen installer & use them to drill holes in finished wood counter tops .
