I'm hoping there is a fix for this!  I was installing some cover plates on some light switches and was changing a bit when one of the small screws found it's way here.

Any thoughts on how to get it out??

Thanks,
dr

Centrifugal force. Tie a string to the end and spin it around. Make sure you are in a safe location as it will come flying out. Start it with a short string then add more till you get the right G force

I like the idea, but that's a darn strong magnet.  Will try it though...

Thanks!

Either grind an old screwdriver to an extremely tight fit or try a very small set of reverse circlip pliers.

Stronger magnet?  Is that a centrotec holder?  If not, cut your losses mate.

You can try to glue another small screw or whatever small object to the stuck part with some cyanoacrylate glue and then pull it out.

Just drill it out. Make a pilot hole with a small bit and then use larger bits step by step until the screw disintegrates.

Id put it in a vice, then try to unscrew it out. If that fails then drill it

tape it to a long rod and swing it,maybe towards the ground impacting it on a rest, with some room left in the arc to keep the tip from hitting the ground

I would flick my wrist to get it out if not Superglue screwdriver and pull. Drilling it out won't  work as it will just spin.

Put a drop of hot glue on the screw then stick a screw driver in it. Let it harden then twist the screw driver a bit and pull it out.

Do you have a screw holding screwdriver?  Clamp the centrotec holder in a vise and use a screw holding screwdriver to clamp the screw with the groove.  If you can turn the screw you might be able to pull it out.  If not, the epoxy idea on a piece of dowel sounds like the only alternative before you drill it out or replace the centrotec holder

drilling s/b your last option, as you will forever have teeny shavings.
I was thinking epoxy.
Also thinking a drop of oil but it aint my bit so I quit thinking and ya probably got it out by now anyway.

I was thinking the same thing.  Use a screw starter that has a center nib that twists and locks to the screw.  It should pull right out.

tell the screw that those containers are finally shipping.
It will jump out and Riverdance down to your local dealer.
Shop Gnome did.
