Oh man, I'm not a big fan of ketchup, but I could really go for that burger, lol.
Anyway, here's how my day went, surprisingly this morning just for the heck of it I checked the tracking on my Kapex and CT Midi, was out for delivery, WooHoo!! I knew I shoveled the walks before work for something. However it was still somewhat snowing, maybe another 1/4" till it stopped. Did I clear the driveway, no. I don't have time for a 4,500 some sq. ft. driveway before work for a measly 2-3" of snow. Well...apparently for UPS that is to much since I saw this message appeared in the tracking around 1:11 pm, 5 minutes after my wife just left;

An emergency situation or severe weather condition has delayed delivery.

Ok, if the driveway looked like it did on Sunday morning with the 2' drift covering it, I get it, but 2" of powder, grrrrrrr! Funny part was that the U.S. Postal service managed to somehow get down the driveway and deliver the mail and the 80 tooth blade for the Kapex. So I will certainly be anticipating getting home tomorrow.
  Oh, and I did clean the driveway off now [big eye roll]

Looks like they "braved" the conditions today. Now I just have to open it all up so I actually realize that I finally bought a Kapex [big grin]

That's a decision made on a dealer by dealer basis by the dealer.
It's no longer a concern as Kapex's are back in stock

Yah, but I got a notice that the UG set and M0102 blade set are back ordered.
I have a Keter I can use until the UG arrives but I was just curious how long it may take.

Elfick, shoot the boys back an email for an exact lead time on those items.  Yes, those are still on a backorder from Festool.  I know there's a large order being received today, that very well may have some of these backordered items.

TJ, just got a response back.  Looks like sometime next week.

The Kapex is out for delivery.....  Sometime today there will be an unboxing.

The deboxing has occurred;  The lightness, smaller footprint, and dust collection is such an improvement compared to the Bosch 4310. All I can say is WOW right now.

Presently set up on the Work Mate until the UG comes.

I gave in and bought a Kapex a couple of weeks ago...just broke down and bought the UG setup for it today - the 10% off this month as a real motivator. This sickness is real...only cure is to buy 'em all to be done with it.  [tongue]

Just picked up the Mini MFT at Woodcraft in Newington NH. They were sold out but I got the floor model. Brand new, some spider webs in the t track. Got it home at 400pm and set up my KAPEX on it. Pretty slick.

Latest word is mid March, though this date has been fluctuating.  Could very well be pushed back.  Fingers crossed for sooner.  In my experience Festool under promises, so hopefully it will be quicker.

Hi Sean, 

Thanks for keeping us posted on this.  I understand the shortage of the UG is in no way the fault of ToolNut and like elfick really excited to get the Kapex on its stand. 

However, for me this does impact the 30 day tool try out a bit.  I don't plan to return the Kapex with what I experienced so far, but my plan was to use the Kapex and UG as a system working as a whole and is difficult to get the full experience of the Kapex without it being on the UG.  I understand the 30 day trial period is from the time I received the Kapex and that UG-KA-Set does not have a 30 day guarantee on it because this is considered a an accessory and only tools are eligible.

If you hear more on the UG status please keep us posted.  (Fingers crossed that it is sooner  [big grin])
