$100 OFF! Trade Up to Festool and save up to 25% through Oct. 31st (US)

Just a guess, but there might be an accounting advantage (for Festool) to the trade in versus just straight rebate.

That accounting or tax advantage, if any, has got to be much larger than the costs of the trades (Festool staff admin./labour costs, tool disposal, and shipper's costs).

[member=101]Festool USA[/member] Any reason why the MFK 700 Set (574368) is not included? I'm in for one if you happen to change your mind and alter the eligibility.

I told a fellow Festool owner about this promotion, he wondered why the TS75 wasn't included.

It's a normal prepaid debit card. If it could only be used on Festool tools, we'd have made it green and called it the SYScard or something.

Great... Now you've totally made me want a SYScard.

Might give you satisfaction but I can virtually guarantee if that type of stuff happens this will be a one and done type of promotion.

Just like the toy tools.

Just my opinion.

Thinking Aloud - NOT that it's not a good deal  BUT      My only hesitation is that the saws and routers being offered for the rebate are being replaced by a newer line and hence Festool is replenishing their stock to make room for the newer version ( unknowns to us).
So is the $100 savings  worth it?????
Your thoughts?

I think you are right about flushing old stock in anticipation of new arrivals.

New arrival, new price tag.  Might be more than $100 difference.

Keep analyzing while waiting for an answer.  Then the date will pass.  Festool will not respond to marketing questions and everything else you hear here will be pure speculation.  Evaluate your wants and needs and make an educated decision before purchasing tools.

I don't expect answers. But, when I speculated that promotional PRO5 sander would eventually become a new model I was right.  [big grin]
Festool denied the plans at the time. So, there.  [big grin]

We don't typically comment on things like this, but I'll debunk this conspiracy theory. But I enjoy the speculation. [popcorn]

Put holes in it so it can be used as a drill size checker.
