Hi, I'm sure this must have been covered before so I apologise if it has. I find it hard to believe that there is'nt a 12.7mm or 1/2'' OD copying ring for the OF1400. There is one for the 2200. I need to fit a lot of Brusso quad hinges and the template takes a 1/2'' ring with a 5/16 cutter.  I want to avoid using the Trend subbase if possible !!  Anyone found a way round this ?

Many thanks  Simon

You'll most likely have to use a guide bushing adaptor, a number of companies sell Brass bushing kits. On my OF1400, I use Leigh's guide bushing kit.

Other than that, I only use Festool metric copy rings.

That will do you.
There are folks who haven't had the best luck with perfect spot-on centering with said copyring out of the box, I have done a very simple tab-tweek to center mine. Check mounting position- (190°) one will be better than the other. The elliptical/and or adjustable bushes are great.

It's a good idea to include your location in your profile, it sometimes eases the Q/A process.

Thanks again William, I have ordered them to arrive tomorrow.  I thought I had put UK as my location. I 'll amend it. Thanks also to richard for the ebay link.
