1400 router problem - when does the ratchet mechanism not work?

Nowhere in the accompanying manual for latest the OF 1400EBQ is it mentioned that in order to use the ratchet mechanism to remove a bit the power button needs to be OUT. Otherwise the ratchet does not engage and the bit cannot be remove. This is a problem when the router is fitted to to Festool module router table when the power switch is normally left engaged.
Found this problem the upside down hard way!
 
For safety your ratchet in the 1400 will only work when the unit power switch is off. When mounted in the Festool router table you need to detach the power hold clip and your ratchet will work fine in both directions
