I'm seriously considering buying an 18v HKC 55 EB kit in the next couple of days, the free battery offer seems to be too good to miss out on!

What I'm after is an honest review from people who have been using it to cut timers 3x2", 4x2" and 6x2". Has it got the torque to cut these with a nice sharp blade, no stalling or any other problems? I'll be mainly cutting stud work and floor joists and the attached track is such a bonus or should I stick to the trusty speed square and a Flexvolt Dewalt.

Thanks.

If it's treated pine or similar and 45~50mm actual then it'll be ok. Otherwise I'd be hesitant. I've got it, but I've got bigger options too if I hit a limit.

I used mine to build my daughter's deck and had no issue with cutting ability.  Liked it so much that I bought the cordless carvex.

What free battery offer are you talking about? I did a little looking around and didn't see anything obvious.

If you have small hands and don't need to cut 2x material on a 45 degree bevel it works fine.

Can you give a review of it?
