I am new to the Festool system having just bought the 55mm track saw and the Domino 500.  Watching Peter Parfitt's video's has inspired me to make my own MFT.  Question is should I use 19 or 20mm holes?  Was going to bore 20mm holes but thought there is much more choice of dogs and other clamps at 19mm (even though I am in UK).  What am I missing here?  Are there other Festool associated accessories/uses which dictate I should use 20mm.  Sorry if this seems a silly question from a newcomer.

Hi George!  Welcome to the forum.  The holes for the Festool system are designed to be 20mm holes  Their actual measurement might vary a smidgen in either direction but 19 mm accessories would have too much slop.  Most accessories are designed around the 20 mm measurement as far as I know.

Please note that the 19mm hole might not have enough clearance for inserting quickclamps.
