Need advice.

I have 2 MFT3 in barely used condition, with all extras. Would like to sell and build custom, non portable bench/cabinet.

I live in western CO.  Does selling these things make sense considering heavy shipping costs?

Roughly, how much are they worth?

I moved this thread out of the classified areas whereas the OP was asking questions but couldn't get answers in the classified area.  If the decision is made to sell then that thread should be started in the classified area.

You could try selling them for local pick-up only. Another possibility is to use the rail connectors to join the tables, take off the legs and mount on to homemade cabinets.

+1. Thats exactly what I did.

Shipping it probably isn't worth it.  Due to size and weight, it's expensive and easily damaged which means more time for you to pack it well.  And if you didn't, it won't matter that you insured it, your claim will get denied because you packed it poorly.  You own the risk until it arrives at it's destination safely.  You're better off discounting the cost a little more to make it attractive for local pick up.

Here's a ballpark for you...advertise here and on craigslist for local pick up only.  50% of new cost and it should be gone in days.  75% of new and it will probably be gone in a week.  Higher than that and you'll have to entertain a bunch of emails and visitors until you find someone who has their heart set on it and would otherwise just order a new one.

Ebay is another good avenue and you can specify local pick up.  You get a huge audience there, so even if you listed it at 80% of new with a buy it now listing and paid ebay and paypal their fees, you're doing pretty well and don't have to entertain craigslist people coming to your house.  I'd give it a week or less.

Edit: for whatever option you choose, pictures pictures pictures!  Don't make them work to verify it's condition, just show them via pictures and let them decide that it's truly like new condition.  Too many people underestimate the value of good pictures.

Dave, I am also in western Colorado near Glenwood springs. If you do end up selling let me know i may be interested in 1.
