Is this possible?  Specifically, i'd like to hook up my rs2 and my 150/3 at the same time so can I put one down and pick up the other to change grits.... I don't want to operate both at once.... Ie, is there some way to use y connectors to branch 2 dust hoses and power cords to one?  Thx tony

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, it's possible. You can use the following Y-adapter. You can view some other threads on the topic using this link.

I hook up 2 tools all the time using the y-adapter Shane posted about. I also use a three way adapter in the ct-22 outlet and usually have my kapex hooked up with the 36mm hose and my ras115 with the 27mm hose for coping. If you were to hook up 2 sanders to your vac you might have to play with the suction to compensate for the loss of suction from the sander that's not being used. When I'm switching between sanders I generally just undo the plugit cord and swap cords and hoses right at the tool.

???

What about the powercords, is it ok to connect two tools with a "power strip" to the vac and use the "auto" mode? Any risks for damageing the vac as long I don't exceed the powerload limit? Will the auto function work with two tools connected?

Viking I do it all the time so you dont have to bend down and change plugs not much chance of overloading the extractor.

I've always used the 3way splitter in my dc, the green ones you find around Christmas time are awesome.  I've never had any issues but I also never turned on more than 1 of the power tools either.

No planex for us.

Will the Gate valve be available then also?

The "gate" is more of a component of the CT AutoClean than the Planex. Although the CT AC is made specifically for the Planex. I would think that the CT AC, Planex and "gate" would show up simultaneously.
