Oh yeah, I’m still here. Hard to get excited about the season this year after this cheating scandal. It’s going to be a rough, hard to watch year this year.

Terrible choice as manager. The Mets ownership doesn't need another "yes" man. I understand Beltran had to go, but there WERE options out there...

Alan, I just read that the Astros hired Dusty Baker and he's already moaning and groaning about his players getting beaned.  LOL the Drama continues ! [scared] [blink] [wink]

As I said it’s going to be a tough year. Not that we don’t deserve it but we are going to get abused regularly in every park we visit. I doubt that getting plunked a few times is going to be the worst of it. It’s going to be really ugly for a while. Dusty better get some cheese with his whine, he’s going to need it.

Things aren't looking so good, are they?  I wonder if the players and owners can figure out a way to get some baseball on the field.  I can do without any of the major sports and even college sports, but no MLB is gonna be a real existential crisis for me !  [scared] [eek] [blink] [crying]

And then, I believe it is next season that the CBA expires so it looks like they now have two monster negotiations in a row to deal with. They better get on the stick (pun intended).

You still watching the Astros?  [big grin].  My wife and son are headed to Nats park how to see Mets vs Nats, wearing their Mets gear and sure to get in to a verbal fracas  [scared].

Doing OK now that tax season is over  [eek] .  I watched all the VPI basketball games and most of their baseball games.  FYI it was something like $5/month to be able to watch on computer or Ipad, in case you don't already have that set up.

Robby has a long list of grievances about the way things are going for the Mets. Like a true Mets fan, he can never really be happy because disaster is possibly waiting right around the corner LOL.

Hey Rob, oh yes, it’s hard not to tune in! First, I am a baseball is life guy and second,  the Astros have been pretty fun to watch lately! Enjoy that game tonight!

They just sent a pic from the game. The giveaway was a Davey Martinez bobblehead, holding the WS trophy  [big grin]. Glad to hear you're getting the games in the way it used to be. I normally don't check the AL standing but I see your boys are leading the pack. Let's hope we meet again in the post season.  [smile]
