I've always liked the appeal of the Plug-It and dust hose getting bundled together for ease of use. Since they both travel straight to the CT, it's a very smart choice. However, for those who use a staged separator, how do you deal with the destinations being different? For purposes of this scenario, I'm talking about solutions that aren't directly attached to the CT like the Ultimate Dust Deputy where separating the cord and hose for a couple feet at most at the end isn't an issue.
Perhaps I'm overthinking things, but I'm trying to improve my shop, and a boom arm-type setup would benefit me greatly. I don't have a CT, but a Ridgid and a 30g trash can that have served me very well in all areas except space. I don't want to give up the volume that the can provides for the bigger machines. I think that perhaps having both the vac and the CT might be overkill for my small shop, but it is a consideration.
