Stair climber/Health Rider and stationary bike/Health Rider on separate days is enough for me.  I don't have the time for the treadmill lately.

I'm good with being just a feeble old man.

Fluid coupler extension.  Just have to test with water under pressure for leaks.  I can feel the difference even with an empty cup from rotated forward if used on a horizontal surface.  Made out 303 stainless steel.

Added the "tjbnwi" pressure tube mod also which should help bleed air from the large PPS cup is used for smaller amounts by shutting off the air flow to the Gxpc.

Trial by water today and that pressure tube mod really speeds up forcing air from the PPS liner!!  It was well worth the effort.

Tom:

In this thread or elsewhere, didn't you state that the HO PPS pressure don't hold their pressure?  I noticed this today using the mini(6oz) cup with water to clean my Gxpc.  It leaks around the top at the rotating locking collar.  Tried another lid/cup, same thing so I tried the large cup and it leak as well.

Here's another one!  Tom stated that he's kept water based material for two weeks with no issues.  I just kept water based poly for three weeks.  The only issue I had and maybe everyone else has seen this also but dried material cakes up on the spout possibly ending up on your target.  I think I had a couple of specs from this on my second coat.  On the third coat today I used a fresh lid and not a spec anywhere was to be found! [big grin]

Now the kicker.  While dumping the unused material back in the can I find that I used two liners.  How many have done the same?

I have had issue with the product drying on the nozzle. What I do now after each spray session is a damp tooth brush across the air cap and nozzle. Make sure you unplug the cup pressure line before you pull the trigger to do the scrub down.

Store the gun upside down if you're storing it with fluid in it for a few days.

I've never been able to get the lid on with 2 liners in the cup.

Sounds like you got a product bath in the past? ;D

I flushed the gun after every use but I did learn that that poly dry fast and sticks like glue to the air cap so tosh it in soapy water while flushing the gun.  I tore it down for a good cleaning today.

Those liners must have really been stuck together because I had no problem with the lid, three times too!

Never got a bath, it a habit of mine to disconnect the cup when I park the gun. It's a just incase habit.

I had an idea, I wondered if I heard no air leak while using the large cup because had two liners inserted?  Sure enough, I tried two with the mini cup and no air leak.

I still had a email response from 3M about the PPS system so I emailed them yesterday.  I just got a response and I told them that it doesn't leak with two liners inserted.  See what they respond.

My inquire at 3M got pasted up the ladder.  They suggest that I might have applied more than 10psi to the cup which I didn't.  They said although annoying it shouldn't affect its operation as long as it's only air leaking.

Okay, lets try that again!  Liners are stacked so I grabbed two from the top.  Lids are loose in a box so that's like drawing out of a hat.  Just using water, the mini-cup leaked so bad this time that it couldn't even push the air from the cup.  I even tried attaching to the adapter while leaving the cup loose to self-align itself first but it still leaked.  Added a second liner, again no leak.  One could cut off one liner at the large point near the lip and just use that with another liner.

Since nobody else here has mention leaks this bad, I can only assume that there are defective lids, liners or cups out there.  I did tell them about this bad leak but they haven't replied yet and I doubt if they will.

Wasn't it mentioned in this thread or others that some are reusing lids/liners?  I've only used PPS with poly and now with black latex.  The black latex gets stuck underneath the outside edge of strainer in the lid but I didn't notice this with the poly although it's very thin and rinses off easily.  Tried scrubbing with a gun cleaning brush which didn't touch it at all.  Had to remove the strainer and scrub it off then.  I do strain first anyway.  Maybe it was just reusing the liners only??

I reuse the liners only, up to 8 times. I do not reuse the lids except in the same spray cycle.

I see those mods were done a little over a year ago. Did they work well? What parts did you use and where did you purchase them? Please elaborate. Thanks, Mike
