Hello Everyone

I have just completed my review of the 3M Versaflo powered respirator. I know that they are not cheap but the quality and comfort are brilliant. I recently had a health scare caused by wood dust. I am fine, just mild asthma caused by wood dust, and so I am now making sure that I have the best protection going.

I am about to start work on a study of workshop dust and will share the results with FOG members. I have an Aerocet 531 on loan to do the dust measurements. Most of my tools are Festool and I know these to be extremely good for dust control and so I will try and visit a professional woodworking friend and get some measurements in his workshop too.

Here is the Versaflo link:

I'm concerned about fogging and sweat.  I can't possibly consider it unless there is a a 30 day money back, no questions asked policy like Festool.  Couldn't find out on the web, do you know?

I think that the guarantees and money back schemes are different in different countries. I am sure that as a US company that you should be able to contact them and find out. Failing that, your dealer will know.

I know that the UK weather is a bit cool compared to sunny Texas but I was okay yesterday in 24 deg centigrade, working most of the day sanding with it on. Certainly no fogging and the flow of air across the face was rather nice.
