No problem. Mistakes happen. But I don't think Canada is "off the grid" eh!

Oh man, that hurts!  Beaver Harbour, Nova Scotia.  No water or electricity.  Met some unreal folks including a gentleman living in a beautiful shed (an old carpenter) who's building a passive ICF home on 20 acres above the Atlantic on a cliff face.

Eh, when I have a team like I do it gives me full confidence to go off the grid no matter the business environment.  There'll always be mistakes and errors no matter the time of year or business environment and whether the boss is away or not.  My boys are some of the best.  I'm lucky enough to have men who I can call some of my best friends that also treat the business as if it were their own.  They did an excellent job and I'd do it again! :)  Errors like this and others will happen no matter the circumstances.

Way to stand behind your people, Sean - proves that you're a class act!

Now, about my items...

Sorry, wasn't meant to hurt. We used to have a cottage in NW Ontario, no electricity although we had a lake full of water, all solar power and we had cell service. Really roughing it [big grin]. Great fishing. Welcome to Canada anytime.

officially cancelled. Maybe this tread should be deleted? No use seeing a mistake over and over again. What do others think?

Have you been to Labrador?  How about the Territories?

I can tell you that certain parts are most definitely "off the grid". Some of the best camping and fishing of my life have been in those parts!

yea. Canada is a big place and to restrict it to the Maritimes is not fair. We have a lot of great things to see in the rest of Canada, just as you do in the states. We really enjoy going there and always feel very welcome, just like Americans are here. Yea we do have parts that are off the grid  [bite tongue] We are a vast country and we have a lot to explore, the solitude is AMAZING.

totally off topic, but [soap box] I really hate bashing a dealer when he has come clean and admitting that a mistake has happened. End of story.......Delete posts.....

I disagree with deleting the thread.  The most that should be done is to lock the thread.  It should remain part of the "record", showing how a reputable dealer handles an honest mistake.

I want to make a point here.

I had a problem with a dealer whom people RAVE about here on the FOG. My online order ended up in hole somewhere and missed the delivery window for which I needed it. It was a fairly significant hassle for me.

That said, I wouldn't dream of posting the dealer info. I know said dealer obviously didn't do it on purpose. At worst they 'fumbled' an order, and at best they were the victim of technology. In either case, I didn't post about it because I don't see that it was reflective of the experience that is typical for that dealer. It wouldn't help them or me.

Finally, it's always worth remembering that it only takes one 'aw sh!t' to wipe out a hundred 'ataboys'.

[wink]

LOL.  I thought all of these orders were going to be cancelled, so imagine my surprise when I received notification today that my order had been delivered. [eek]

I previously posted a photo showing my order had been fulfilled, and the description and photo was of the drill bit set.  And I was totally okay and understanding of how such a mistake can occur with e-commerce.

Getting back to the surprise, I went out and "fetched" that delivery, opened it, and much to my second surprise of the day, I am now the new owner of a box of P120 for the 150 series sanders!  Again, had to LOL.

Needless to say, this will be returned.  I will still order that bit set, at full price, because as much as I tried NOT to buy a Festool drill, I went out and bought the CXS early last week from my local Woodcraft store.  So much for thinking that bit set went on sale just because I had bought that new drill a few days previously!

You have to love that CXS though after I got mine I also bought the T-18 and then the Centrotec Installers Kit, and, and, and!
