I have ordered three "adapters" connection couplings, etc. and NONE work.  Can i get someone to answer this question, PLEASE?  I have a #452887 hose 1 15/16X8.25 (50mmx2.5mm) and i want to connect it to my Kapex from a CT32 extrator, what PART do i need for the KAPEX END?  one end will work in the extractor, i just need to know what to buy for the TOOL end.  THANKS ???

The 50mm hose isn't designed to connect to tools (other than some of the cleaning tools). It is really designed as an intermediate hose, connecting to either a 36mm hose or a 27mm hose.

To use it to connect to a Kapex, you would want a length of 36mm hose and a connector, 493047.

Considering that, it seems to make more sense to just use a 36mm hose all the way.

I know this will work with that hose,  Festool 452897 Hose Sleeve, Non-Antistatic Hose Reducer, but you will end up having a 27mm connection on the Kapex.  As Tom Mentioned the hose you have has 2 50mm rotating ends used as an intermediate connection or between an extractor and another tool that has a 50mm port.

Tom, I received that hose yesterday and it works great between the CT36 and the Mafell saw with the 50mm port.  thanks for quick turnaround.

Hello.

Information please.  I want to use my ct32 with a 50mm hose to my kapex.  What is the adapter at the tool end?  I have a couple of 50mm hoses and do not want to buy additional hoses.  Has anyone done this, if so how?

Thanks
David

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the forum!  [smile]

Any Festool hose or and many other shop vac hoses will fit the CT end. You may need to make your own adapter for the Kapex end if you don't go with one of the suggestions above.  A visit to the plumbing department will usually result in some possibilities.

I tried that and gave up on it. The thing is way too stiff to properly work with the saw. To do the connecting to the Kapex I ended up with a few plumbing fittings from a big box store because they did not extend as far from the saw.

THANKS EVERYONE!!  I will buy another hose,  36mm hose and a connector, 493047, and can these two 50mm!!

The D36 hose does not need anything extra to work with the vacuum or Kapex. The hose has the correct connectors on both ends.
