5mm sys-az screws

I'm going to be installing a set of the sys-az drawers in a cabinet using a 32mm hole spacing like when drilling for shelf pins in a kitchen cabinet.  Using 19mm plywood for the boxes.  However, the instructions say to drill the holes 10mm deep which would be fine if the holes were only going to be on one side.  However, i plan on installing these on both sides of a couple of the partitions.  I'm concerned the 5mm screws that are provided will be too long and could touch in the middle when being screwed opposite of each other.  Where can I find screws which would be a mm or two shorter so they won't touch?

Actually, if the screws you have will go in a 10mm hole, they will be held far enough out by the drawer slides that they won’t contact each other in 19mm plywood. I’ve used 10mm Pozi drive screws in this type of situation with no issues.

Edit to add: I just went on the the wwhardware site and found they no longer have as much of a selection of sizes.  I used to get 10mm screws from them for your type of situation. I typically used the longer ones when going into 19mm plywood.

For your either-side fixings, how about using small Chicago bolts instead?

I have also done a cabinet using SYS-AZ hardware and 10mm system screws with a center partition supporting slides on each side.  I don't recall any issues with the screws from slides using the same holes touching.

As I recall, the ones we use are 11mm? These do in fact conflict with each other. The same happens when you try to put concealed hinge plates directly across from each other on the same panel. In both cases shorter screws will solve it. I don't remember what size they are though 6 or 7mm? They work with drawer slides, but they are too short for the hinge plates. The regular 11mm ones are just enough shorter that the ones that come pre-installed in the plates, that they work.

For the OP, Lee Valley carries the 10mm under both Euro and Blum respectively search terms.  I think the Blum system screws are just color matched to their hardware.

They are 8.8mm long according to the answer to a question. My plywood is 17.5mm and I have through holes so these should work. I’ll know more when the arrive tomorrow.
