Howdy, first post here. Bloody annoyed with this. Would fire up then not after retrigger. Changed to new bushes. Old ones have lots of length but worn in correctly only on half way of each concave contact point. Would fire up now and again then not for ages.
So new ones in - nothing at all. Spun the blade to make some wear - in contact but nothing.
Am I looking at the wrong issue.
Tomorrow I will use lead from another tool just to  clarify the power feed is ok.
Any pointers would be amazing..

Thanks
Dai

I think the first thing I would do is, test it with another Plug-it cable. If that does not work, I would open it up and check the connections to the Plug-it, on the inside of the case.
Next I would look at the switch, basically all of the human contact parts, which also are the easiest to check and to fix.
These things are made to be serviceable, not like typical throw-away stuff that dominates the market, so parts are available.

Welcome to the FOG!  Sorry it has to be over a tool issue. Before you start experimenting with other cords you should inspect your cord and the contacts of your saw to see if you have dark discoloration that might indicate arcing.  If you use a good cord with a tool that has bad contacts you risk transferring that issue to the cord.  And if you use a cord...then you risk contaminating another tool.  This symptom can spread like tool flu.
