80/20 MFT Style Folding Table

Great design and very well executed.  Am I correct that he first list above is from McMaster and the second list is from 80/20?

Thanks for sharing.  Wheels turning now!

Correct, McMaster for all the components and 8020.net for extrusions. Have fun!

Odessabooots  would you be willing to share your endcap STL? These are a nice design.

Nice work 👍. What was the cost to build it? I’m guessing $800-$1000 the bits and pieces tend to get pricey.

The ones I modelled in green, or the ones from my image that I ended up using?

The ones I modelled in green are too fragile, they end up not working as intended, I only printed 1 to test, and it was a failure. I ended up with a simpler design and routed slots into the aluminum for top access to the slots. Way easier than you think once you get over your fear of hand routing aluminum.

Closer to 800 mark. Not really a huge savings over an MFT, but way more stable, larger, and more useful for my workflow. I really have an issue with tables that are not rock solid, and this thing is bomber despite the folding legs.

You didn't include your labor costs!

Just joking.  [tongue]

I agree with you that a rock solid worktable is important and worthy even if it cost more.
