a droid app would be good. save buying that extra sheet

you but do you like cutting sheets into odd parts!  You then have to make sure its still square and you cant over cut so you could end up needing to use hand saw to cut the piece of as if you over cut you could end up putting a groove in the piece you want

There was an OS 9 shareware program called Cut. I've been looking for a Mac OS X version for a long while, with no success.

A close friend (woodworker and Mac guy) advised me to use Sketchup. I was put off by the complexity of the program. So, I wait and I wait.

AFIK there is nothing that works that is native. I use a plugin for Sketchup called cut list then export to cut list plus in parallels

The Sketchup plugin is free. But neither CutList plus nor parallels are free.

I would be happy to know if there is a better way.

Here is a Mac sheet optimization program.  I just downloaded a trial to make sure it worked.  Cost $58 US.  Other prices on the website.  CabinetCut

There is also an iphone app out there.  The developer sent me information about a year ago and I intended to do a review.  I never did, I can't remember the name, and I cleaned up my message box - all 52 pages.  Bet you noticed that the forum is running faster  [big grin].

I found 2 iPhone apps 1 is Ambisaw £13.99 iPhone only the other is "Cutting optimisation" £2.99 iPhone & iPad if any one is using either of them I would be interested.

its okay it still works with out it I think.

I just had a play with it and you can move the pieces onto the sheet manually OR you can let it do it automatically!  Seems very handy little app from the 5 seconds I have used it!

Just wonder what extras or benefits you get for entering your TS 55 serial number and date dealer name and Postcode.

NOPE I was wrong!

YOU CAN NOT USE IT Unless you have entered your TS55 details in!

What I was using was the TESTER so you can see how it works but you can not actually put ur own sizes in!

Now I got an older TS55 how would I get this app  in full version mode then?
