$99 PRO 5 Sander Promotion + $50 Voucher - New Festool REQ Sanders (US)

Gary,
Sorry for the confusion.
Yes, the 500668 is to replace the reducing sleeve on the D27/22 sleeved hose and the 500669 is to replace the reducing sleeve on the standard D27 hose.
As has been stated you can still use the standard reducing sleeve that comes on the sleeved hose to connect to the new connector that is on the ETS 125.

This just in from another thread (a direct answer from Festool):

From Brent at Festool.

Just a couple questions:

1) Will the included retrofit kit work on the tool end of the sleeved hose (which, if I am correct,  is tapered down to 22mm on the tool end)? Yes.  The tool end of the hose is the same diameter even though the hose diameter is different.

[member=47173]Brent Shively[/member] can you just clarify that statement? I understood the retrofit kits are part number 500669 which is for standard 27mm hoses. For the 27/22 tapered, sleeved hose, my understanding was that part number 500668 was required as pictured below...

All Ya'll, just want to add some information to the discussion regarding the other two new sanders, the RTS 400 REQ and the DTS 400 REQ. These sanders also include the bayonet-style connector to retrofit your existing Festool hose.

At this time we do not have an ETA on their arrival, but once they are here they  can be purchased from any Festool Dealer.

Brent,

When and where will the 500668 reducing sleeve for the D27/22 sleeved hose be available for purchase in the US?

[member=297]Michael Kellough[/member], sorry I wasn't clear. This is for redemption of the voucher. I will clarify in my previous post. Vouchers will be included in the Systainer with the sander.

"qualifying tool"??  Does this mean there are only certain tools the voucher can be used on?  Seems to imply there are exceptions  [eek]

The only tool that does not qualify is the PRO 5 Sander, 201234. You basically can't use the $50 to buy another one.

SysLite, MFT, and Systainers are listed under "Power Tools" not "Accessories". Do they qualify? Or is it only for actual power tools?
Sorry for nitpicking. Thanks.

Hi Shane,

Long time Festool fan but new to this forum.

There seems to be a high demand on these units and I also placed an order yesterday with Toolnut as well.  Is there any concern that Festool USA won't have enough stock to fill the current pre-orders and there is only a limited space in a warehouse/production?

No, no concerns. I have live feed from Festool PRO 5 Sander new manufacturing facility in Wendlingen. Here is today's 3:00 am snapshot:

[member=15585]Svar[/member], good questions. A power tool is considered a product with a serial number by Festool, generally speaking. MFTs and SysLites have serial numbers, Systainers do not. The WCR, for instance, also has a serial number and is considered a tool. But, basically, it's battery-operated, electric or pneumatic tools.

[member=12814]mrt076[/member], welcome to the forum and thanks for the order! I cannot offer any insight into Festool's warehouse or production capacities as they relate to demand for this promotion. That would be a question for them. Sorry I don't have more info to share on that.

Thanks, Shane!  Amazing deal.  My order was in on day 1 :)
