A almost total Domino project

I just finished my Domino bench.  Almost all the joinery is Domino.  I have a bunch of pix on my blog showing how it went together.  Even considering my novice status, it went along very quickly with no problems at all.  I find the machine very intuitive and very precise.

Domino speeds the process in so many ways.  Things that took a goodly amount of time, are now almost trivial.  It is one of those things in life that are actually better than you had expected.

Hey Clint, I visited your blog and thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the pics and the Domino in action.

Glad you enjoyed the pix - there are way too many to bring to this site, I think.

I'll be starting on some other Domino joined projects shortly and will keep folks up on my experiences with it.  I have some chairs and tables on tap.  Might answer some of the questions on other posts.

Thanks for the great blog Clint. It's fun to watch how others are doing things.

One Domino question. Do you find that you are using one size of Domino more than the others?

Thanks again,

Gary

Glad you enjoy my blog.  It is a fun thing to do - and it helps clients see their project as it comes along.

Thus far, I think I have used the various sizes of Domino tenons all about equally.  The thing is so handy that I think that will remain the case - you can use it so many places to speed up your work process that a wide variety of sizes is very useful.  I can't wait for the different colors [wood species] to come on line.

I do think that the sizing will vary from project to projectm, but will still use a wide range of sizes.
