A better way to change between two hoses

At a point where the mug was half full, the bottom of the mug hit the ceiling in the car and I could not drink any further without contorting my body, and probably compromising my driving skills.

This sounds like quite the adventure!

You can skip to 5:30 to see how it works, if you aren't interested in the construction process.

Opening and shutting blastgates by hand one by one sounds like small effort but is hated by woodworkers.

At the risk of triggering a divergent discussion about how Dennis has jumped the shark, he did release a video about these automatic blast gates. They're not the cheapest solution but look rather convenient.
