A green laser option for the KAPEX

I've actually got a few green lasers - I was toying with them to make an under water speargun sight. Unfortunately some local idiots have been menacing choppers and planes with high power green lasers ... Good chance the police will cart you away for just using one as a telescope sight.
Anyway - if someone was industrious enough to put together an upgrade kit with instructions - I'd buy one.

the first thing I would like to change is the dotted line... I HATE that. I want two solid lines. no morse code looking things..
besides converting to solid, crisp, wll defined lines, the colors are an interesting idea... green sounds good and all, but, I think blue may have a higher color temperature, and make for a superior marking laser. -just my presumption, -anyone have any thoughts on this?
I am quite confident I ccould come up with a conversion kit. whatever color... but, for me anyway, if I am to do anything like this, I would want it to offer improved performance, not just look cool!
by the way, does anyone have any ideas on what would be the ideal ambient lighting for a laser guided tool? we all know direct sunlight puts your laser out of business... extraordinarily bright light as well, I wonder if UV LED's would enhance the lasers image?

You want improvements? Here's a suggestion from my son (aged 6). He is fascinated by the laser, and came out with "wouldn't it be better if the laser just did the cutting rather than the blade?". Apart from the smoke and that it would probably blind everyone within 20 feet, he has a point.
So there you go. Can you sort a kapex with a 20 kW laser? Please? Not that fussed about the colour.
Back OT, have no problems with the red laser.

The human eye is more adept at picking up the green wavelengths over those other colors. However, production cost is always a factor to trade off against ergonomic considerations.

isnt green 3 times easier to see than red but 3 times harder to make

and the Contractor who had the general Trim Job of the home, had setup a complete "JET" brand shop in the largest garage.
I made trips back to my own shop rather than accepting the offer to use the Jet machines after a single attempt.
-The cool Green Laser is the only thing even slightly interesting, and I must agree, the Review Video is lousy.
You have to consider that when someone is reviewing a FESTOOL, and they're excited with is, -pleased with it, and often entirely BLOWN AWAY by the tool, their review is going to reflect that.

I've only watched a few of their videos, and those that I've seen are equally as bad. Ironically, the first one I watched was when I was trying to research green rotary lasers. Green rotary lasers are significantly brighter than their red counterpart, I can't imagine the difference they would make on a miter saw.
Being that many men are red color blind it would be nice to have a green laser option. Thinking back on when the Kapex was designed Green was not an option. As a firearms instructor, I have followed Green laser development as a company just 2 miles from my house makes green lasers for firearms targeting systems. When Green lasers were first introduced they had a few issues. The were a lot more expensive, they ran hot and consumed a lot more power. Only recently have they gotten them to run cooler, at a lower cost and use less power to be the point of being practical. Green does work better in daylight. You can site in a target at 2-300 feet with green daylight... red maybe 50 in daylight
Would I swap out my red for a green on the Kapex... in a word No. If red on the Kapex failed and had to be replaced. I would move to green if cost was close to the red. I'm just not sighting in wood from 50 feet.... so read is fine for me.

Many men might be red color blind .... but some are green too .... I am.
Being color blind makes one think that a lot of things, whatever they are, aren't designed with proper attention to the problem !!!
