A new Felder owner

My Felder AD951 arrived a few days ago, here are some pics and I will upload my workshop when its all complete - its a mess now because I have sold my Robland NX410 combination and bought a 4 years old panel saw (Griggio Unica400), a new JP combo (Felder AD951) and a 50 years old slinding table spindle moulder (Casadei), all of the machines has arrived but I am changing the ducting as well, the original ducting layout were designed for a combination machine, with the separated machines I need new ducting route to them all, the ducting itself is a major exercise alone and I have a daytime job.

Fortunately I have finally arrived at a decision of where about each machine should be, my workshop is only 6m x 9m (20 x 30), to rearrange the separate machine was a real challenge, I have 8 x industrial machines in it.

My AD951 comes with standard 5.5kw/silent power/digi drive upgrade.

The panel saw inside the garage. can only operate a portion of it because my garage is only 6m long and you need close to 8m to operate the slider fully.

Will post more pics and thoughts after I finish with the ducting layout, I have only fired it up and thicknessed a few pieces of timber to make sure its all good.

It is super quiet - the noise is virtually the same when its buzzing/planning or just turn on but idle. I am very glad to date, however its monstrously huge, although capacity is 510mm, you actually need 1300mm from back of the wall to the front of the machine if you are placing the back of the machine against a wall, there is a gap of 300-400mm between the wall and back of the machine.

I still like SCM L'Invincible FS7, its a bit more ($4000-$6000 USD depending on the spec) but I think its probably worth it. The build of the Felder AD951 seems a bit light weight.
