A parallel edge guide using the tso products guide rail square

I got my guide rail square from tso products yesterday and was tinkering with it. Other people had commented about there being two threaded holes on the square. Hans eluded to something being on the works so I thought I would try some West Virginia engineering.

I Have a section of incra t-track plus. And also the components of the rip dogs parallel guides. The pre drilled holes in the incra track don't line up. They were also a little too small for the screws which fit the little t-nuts. So I drilled an extra hole and enlarged one of the pre drilled holes. 

Using the mnobs from the rip dogs set and the t-nuts I was able to screw the track to the tso square.

It seemed to work pretty well, other than making the guide rail want to tip up of the work piece.  The weight of the saw holds it down.

The only drawback I see so far the set width of cut is limited to about 16 3/4". Otherwise it is a way to consistently set for a width and a square cut.

You beat me to it!!  I was going to engineer something along the same sorts. Nice execution and am sure Hans will be excited to see it as well.

[member=43773]Neal W[/member] - you heard correctly what was alluded to when we answered the question what the (2) M6 tapped holes were for: "the TSO Parallel Guide accessory for the GRS-16 squares".
As some of you FOG members already know, it is the next tool we are coming out with following the PTR-18 and MTR-18 Triangles. The shortcomings you correctly describe of your very neat "West Virginia Engineering" version will all be gone in the new TSO  tool - you would expect nothing less from us - would you now?
But now that the cat is really out of the bag we may as well forget about taking a summer vacation [big grin]
