A short vid featuring the HSK 80x130 vac sanding block

Saskataper

That looks handy. We have the HSK set, but there is no connection for the vac. I just checked Festool USA and don't see the item you're using. Can you post the part number?

Thanks.

Thanks for the number. I guess I couldn't find it on Festool USA because that part number doesn't show up in the search function. (!)

I recently received the HSK with the AS hose from Tom. I can highly recommend it. The Pocket Stickfix is another must have sander.

Does anyone know if this is available in Canada? I can't seem to locate any information on the Canadian Dealer sites about this item. I do Fire and Flood repairs in Calgary, mostly cabinet repairs and tons of millwork damaged by water, but I sometimes follow a messy drywaller trade and I have to sand out lumps of drywall below the baseboard level to get them to sit flat  :-[  I will on the odd occasion will replace the small 3"x6" drywall coupon cuts to the drywall behind and below the baseboard line made by the emergency techs to allow them to dry the wall cavities with air movers when water damage occurs in a structure (mostly high rise buildings) and this tool would be great addition to my toolkit!

Yep its available. I bought mine from atlas machinery in Toronto. festoolshop.ca it was $79.

Nice use of the syslite as well.  Might just have to get it the next time I'm doing drywall.

Here's a pic of the kind of crappy drywall work that I seem to encounter with poor drywall trade I was following. I spent probably 3-5 hours per week prepping areas to install baseboards. VERY frustrating!!! Thankfully the GC in this case has now replaced this trade with a better drywall sub [smile]

I love this little sander. I have had  the rts400 with tons of sanding paper for it and the holes match the HSK.  But I noticed there's additional holes in the hsk that the rts400 sanding paper doesn't have. Does the hsk have its own line of paper specifically for it?

I ordered this from an online dealer who had never heard of this sander when I asked to order it, which surprised me.  He was surprised too that this little gem had gone so long unnoticed.

I ordered (bought and paid for) one of these units from KMS Tools here in Calgary.

That was almost 3.5 weeks ago and still no sander received at the local store. I was told that it would take a couple of weeks which I was okay with, but this is stretching out longer than I expected.

Well, maybe I should've ordered it through Atlas, as was suggested by another poster as their site showed that they had it in stock..... ::)
