A table saw that won't cut skin...and it's not SawStop

The order directed at Bosch is as follows. Not sure if a third party unrelated to Bosch in the US or in Canada could bring Reaxx across the border for sale. Any expert or lawyer on the forum?

"The ITC issued an order to Robert Bosch Tool Corporation saying Bosch must “cease and desist from conducting any of the following activities in the United States: importing, selling, marketing, advertising, distributing, transferring (except for exportation), and soliciting United States agents or distributors for imported [Reaxx] table saws and components thereof.” (ITC Investigation No. 337-TA-965)

I think this is the part that will cause the problems. Bosch would have to do some level of due diligence on the people they supply, and part of that due diligence will be asking where they intend to target end-users. Once someone tells them their target market is the US, Bosch will be legally prohibited from supplying the product.

A startup idea: Reaxx import business across the border from Canada to US. [big grin]

Be a good movie.

I think this business can also be the smuggler of NAINA Festool, 230V tools are not a crime!

Need stuff to back smuggle to keep containers full.

SawStops patents are expiring really soon, so I’m expecting to see plenty of investment from other brands.

Festool parent company owns them. I’m sure they have some tweaks or a redesign to the patent that will take them for another 23 years?
